Neuhaus helped develop the toy drive with WTBQ last year, relating the stories of military children whose parent(s) are deployed, are in the reserves or have been injured or disabled while serving. Toys collected during the event were donated to Amy Weyhrauch from West Point’s Holiday Shares and to representatives of the Children of Disabled American Vets.

“I’m proud to participate in this important event again with WTBQ and our partners,” Neuhaus said. “The toy drive is a testament to how committed the community is to helping these children and their families. It is a wonderful way to bring smiles to their faces and thank the men and women who defend our country for the sacrifices that they make.”

Toys collected via the drive this year will be donated to the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base and the Children of Disabled American Vets.

“Our military families serve and support their own families, too," Hoovler said. "This is just another way for us to show our appreciation for them.”

If you would like to contribute toys, please make sure that they are new and unwrapped. Wrapping paper and bows are appreciated. Donations will be accepted until December 11th. The main drop off location is WTBQ, located at 179 Sanfordville Road in Warwick. The LEGOLAND New York Community Welcome Center, located at 6 North Church Street in Goshen, is also accepting toys for the drive.
